WHAT ARE HONEYCOMB BLINDS?
Honeycomb blinds, also know as cellular blinds are made from individual rows of cells that create a pleated look. They provide the perfect balance between function and style, giving you a variety of operation systems and design that offer the chosen light filtering option.
Lets take a look at the best features of honeycomb blinds:
INSULATION:
One of the best features of the honeycomb blind is the insulation they add to a room, The long open channels or cells trap the air at the window keeping the room cooler in the hot months and warmer in the cooler months.
PRIVACY:
They offer complete privacy when a blockout fabric is chosen and by choosing the popular top-down/bottom- up style allowing the shade to be lifted from either the bottom or pulled down from the top you can still allow light to stream into the room whilst having part of the window blocked.
LIGHT CONTROL:
The cellular system offers complete control over your light filtering system. By choosing a blockout opaque fabric and installing it on the outer of the window frame, you can have a totally blacked out room, perfect for babies rooms, media rooms or a shift-worker’s bedrooms. You can also have two fabrics on one blind allowing for a sheer translucent for the day and a blockout for privacy at night.
CHILD SAFE
The cellular blind system has no cords or wands making it the safest blind on the market, with no strings or cords it makes a great addition to a home with young children or pets. You can also get them in a vertical sliding option too which is great for sliding doors.
CUSTOM SHAPES AND SIZES
They can be made in any shape, making them a great option for homes with round or arch windows and are also great for skylights and angled windows.
As you can see the honeycomb blind is a versatile, stylish and functional addition to any home. If you are after a blind that offers ease, clean styling and light filtering options the the honeycomb blind might be right for you! Book in your free measure and quote here
